good day atty. question lang po about arrest warrants. what if you had a hearing set for a specific date and you forgot to come? the case is for estafa. will a arrest warrant be issued immediately by the judge hearing it or will a subpoena be issued for you to come next time around?

yes sir it is already in court and i was not required to post bail. i just forgot to come on the 2nd hearing. i mean me and the accusing party already had an agreement and i just showed up on the 1st occasion so as to inform the court. i just failed to appear on the second one which was scheduled last oct 5 and am afraid that they might have issued a warrant for me although until now nothing has come to my residence. thanks sir for replying.

magandang araw po sa inyo. gusto ko lang po humingi ng payo tungkol sa aking problema dito po sa italy. ako po ay isang Ofw na nagtiwala at nagpautang sa kababayan natin dito po sa italy ng 15,000 euro. ang mga katanungan ko lang po ay puwede ko po ba silang idemanda ng estafa sa pilipinas kahit dito po nangyari ang panloloko nila sa akin sa italy? dahil po ang mga nanloko sa akin ay lumipat na po ng germany, paano ko po kaya sila mapapanagot sa ginawa nila sa akin?

ferdie, no. criminal laws apply only within the country where they are committed. but you can file a collection case here.

i recommend you file a case there in italy.

Maraming salamat po sa pagtugon sa liham ko. isang katanungan na lang po pwede po ba sila mabigyan ng HDO or WLO pag naka pag file ako ng collection case sa pilipinas laban sa kanila kahit german citizen sila?
