warrant for estafa

Dear Sirs,

I have to ask for some opinion for my friend's case. She had an outstanding warrant for estafa/bp 22 for not appearing in court for the case. She was abroad and have not received the summon so she was not able to appear and thereby the warrant. With work and all circumstances pushing her to just stay out of the country and not face it, what will happen to this case? Is there a possibility that warrant or the case will be dismissed due to it being archived for a long time? If so, how many years will it take for her to request to lift the warrant and go home without the warrant of arrest? Thank you

Her case might already been reported at our Immigration.The warrant of arrest is not abated by mere absence of the accused. She has to face the case filed against her.
