I have a secure loan totaling $8000 right now. I haven't been able to pay it for a long time now. So now they have had an attorney call me to try and settle this out side of court. After talking to them it sounds like any offer I give will not be acceptable because I do not have the amount of money/down payment that they are looking for. What should I do? should i consider bankruptcy, would that even be an option? I don't want to have this go court for a civil judgment.
