Good day, Attorney.

I have a friend who was dismissed and sued by our company. The management then instructed us not to talk to this friend. Is this lawful? If yes, on what basis?

Thanks and more power to you!

Attorney, I have a follow question. Is there any circumstance where forbidding to communicate to anybody is legal? Many thanks again.

like during an on-going investigation or a pending case

there are court rules that some forms of communication can be curtailed such as when the topic is very sensitive eg, the court clears the room when hearing a court case or lawyers are not allowed to discuss family court cases with the media. so there may be some exceptional circumstances that such a rule is possible.
