Hello! I have a personal loan amounting to 160K. I was able to pay roughly 30K before I was unemployed. I haven't been able to pay for about 10 months because I don't have a job. A certain atty. has contacted me that they already filed a criminal case against me. Is the nature of a personal loan different from credit card debt? Is this really a criminal case? Need your help thanks!

No. I did not issue any checks to pay for the loan. Payments were deducted from my salary before, since it was a tie-up by my former company with a certain bank. Eventually, I will pay the loan when I get a job. Could you enlighten me on this? Thanks!

if they really filed a criminal case, you will receive a subpoena. but it's a common tactic to pretend there's a criminal case.
