Atty, I would like to ask for an advice regarding my complaint against an airline company specifically xxxxx.

I booked for 2 tickets online which I paid at payment centers. In their statement online, failure to pay until 11:59 pm on the day you book shall mean that the transaction is forfeited.Payment centers has a cut-off of 3 pm..Therefore,it will probably apply only to credit card holders. I dont have a credit card that is why i pay over the counter only. I changed my flight sked in one of my tickets which required me to pay for about 1k including the 600 penalty. Prior to that I made a change of flght also on the other ticket but which I did not pay because I changed my mind.Thinking that non-payment will render your transaction forfeited I used my itinerary receipt of my original flight sked.

When I checked in at the airport, the clerk said that what is reflected on my confirmation code is the schedule which I changed online, though I did not pay for that transaction. Because I had to leave, they suggested that I book for the new transaction because my flight is already considered consumed. Because I had to leave that day, I decided to book for another flight and paid 2,500.I was so disgusted because of the damage that it caused me.I was on vacation leave and I spent too much on that leave and I only have few money left with me when I return for work but because of that instance, I had to cash out my only remaining money, enough for me to reach my destination. All in all, I spent 4k(2500 and 1500 for the prev ticket) not including luggage chek in because i chose to handcarry my bags.

I wrote them a complaint through email and a computer-generated email said that i have to wait for seven days for their reply.but 12 days have passed but i received nothing..only promo emails.

Atty, can they reason out that they have a clause in their terms and condition that online booking is a risk on the part of the customer as they cant assure the accuracy and error that may result on the internet is not their liability? Is this not a violation or an abuse on their part?

What shall I do?Please help me.Thanks.

not sure i understand the transaction, but if you believe you are entitled to a refund, then you should send a demand letter and then initiate a small claims case. rules on sc.judiciary.gov.ph.
