can a company require an applicant to issue a cheque without date on it so that when you try to end a contract, they will use that cheque to get the money. the problem is there is no assurance the cheque is safe with them. what if they use it even if you follow the contract?

oh, that's going too far. the company is already requiring a security to guarantee employment.
