hi poh,...i'm an 18 year old girl and is having a 30 year old boyfriend and we are planning to get married, and we wanted to get married po sana without the consent from my parents, would the marriage be made possible, i'm on a legal age na poh, ano poh bah ang dapat naming gawin?

yes, it is possible. apply for your marriage certificate, but it will just take 30 days longer because there is no parental consent.

possibly. a notice that you are applying to marry will be posted at city hall, but almost no one reads it.

if i may, why not take a moment of pause and bide your time? getting married is something permanent; so many here are having problems for getting married young. besides, a wedding is supposed to be celebration between 2 families. why hide it like a dirty secret?

eh kasi poh ayaw nila sa lalakeng gsto ko pong pakasalan, and they always bother me with negative comments na hindi naman poh totoo. i always explain to them why i would love and like to marry this guy kaya lang poh they always stick to what they believe in,..

you can commit to him, but you're 18. it doesn't necessarily mean you have to marry him now. does it mean you will love each other any less if you don't get married now? you can live in together.

ok, if there's no stopping you, your escape hatch is that you can petition for annulment based on lack of parental consent until age you are age 26.
