Please advice if this couple could have a legal marriage under phillippine law.
example: im the girl and the guy; son of my grandfather's sister on my father's side.

Could this be a legal marriage?

A friend of mine told me that once a married couple spit up and there is no communication at all for almost 10 years, each one them can marry again to other person. Is this true? Do we have law/s regarding this?

randylyn, that is not an impediment to marriage. the rule is that they should be at least 5 degrees apart. that's you-father-grandfather-greatgrandfather-grandaunt-spouse.

so they can get married.

leyra, not true. if there is good faith belief that the other one is dead after 2 years then the surviving spouse can file a petition in court to declare the other presumptively dead. it is not automatic that the marriage bond is dissolved.
