I need help, I hope someone will take time to read my issue and provide me inputs that I can consider for my situation. I will make my statement as brief and detailed as much as possible.
• Rent to own condo issue, the sales representative did not disclose that there’s a lumpsum amount in-between the duration of my contract. He had me issue a blank cheque (Stupid me) and he was successful with his ill intention of closing a sale.
• I had this coordinated with HULRB and had couple of sessions and ended unresolved. I was advised to look for a lawyer but I find the process stressful, the unit is not worth it anyway.
• I’m on the process of cancelling the contract instead. My issue here is that I’m being asked to pay for the RPT. Am I liable for this?
I need thoughts or assistance perhaps regarding my concern, I hope someone will find time to help me out.
