My close friend and her two daughters ate at a famous restaurant in one of the most prestigious hotels in Manila one night a few weeks ago. At the buffet and within a few minutes after beginning their meal, one daughter after the other became seriously ill, followed by their mother. All three were confined at the hospital, where the doctors confirmed the presence of e. coli bacteria in their systems. What legal recourse does the family have?

the hotel did not assist them? they can try negotiating a settlement with the hotel. if none is reached, they will have to sue.

if no other guests were affected, the hotel may argue that they got the bacteria from elsewhere.
