Hi,

My daughter is currently using my last name. If her dad is to acknowledge her with an affidavit of paternity and aff to use his surname, how much will it cost to update it?

Is it something the civil registry can change for free or is there an additional charge I need to pay?

How much does it usually cost and how long does the process take?

Hi been to your situation too.I gave to my daughter without father who acknowledge her.And I registered her name in the civil registry-PSA since it is my childs right to be given such.After 3 years and 5 months her Dad came back and decided to acknowledge her but the civil registry said she can only carry his Dads surname if will get married.
