my in laws got a court order about the granting writ of possession of a land they purchased in 2004. The said property had a clean title and a tax clearance but then it is only a part of a huge land in dispute by its original owners. My in laws received the court order stating that the supreme court granted the plaintiffs possession of the said land. What course of action should my inlaws do since the matter is only addressed to the original owners of the whole property although the court order was cc'd to all property owners who purchased the land in good faith.

i would believe that there is a decision rendered by the supreme court if they issued a writ of possession. don't your in laws have a lawyer?

no, not yet anyway...they were shocked about the court order they received recently and are at a lost as to what to do. They are just too old for this. So, they should hire one already? The writ of possession was addressed to the Defendants not to my in-laws but being new owners of part of the big land dispute should they worry? I mean will there really be a possibility for the lot to be taken and returned to the plaintiffs? Shouldn't the court or the plaintiffs run after the defendants who have already been paid for the land they sold?

unfortunately, if they derive their titles from the defendant, then they are affected. i recommend they hire a lawyer so they can determine what this is all about and what their rights are.
