When I was in college I discovered that the Birth Certificate I'm using since I went Grade School is fake. I found out that I'm an adopted child.
I am now 39 and I'm having problem in getting passport. Some friends suggested to apply for late registration. Im worried that NSO will not accomodate my application. The Surname and Birth date that I'm using now are all in my documents and ID. What can you advice?

if you were adopted legally, then there should be a proper birth certificate. if not, try to trace your true identity and it's possible that there is a birth certificate with your biological parents. if none, try late registration or else a court petition
