Good evening. I’m currently caught up in this scenario: I have a colleague who went through “ALL” my private messages and allegedly got copies (screenshots/ photos) of some. The thread had very sensitive personal issues that she might have read as well. The computer used was an office computer wherein the hardware was a property of the company. But, the software installed had my personal private data and number inputed to activate my account was my private number as well. Given these, i would like to file against her as i felt my privacy was invaded. Would I have a case?

Escalate the matter to your supervisor/boss first and see what they can do to the erring colleague. They will usually investigate the matter and apply disciplinary proceedings, depending on the rules set on your company handbook.

If you choose to file a criminal case against your colleague, you should go to the NBI cybercrime division and ask for advice there since your colleague must have used some sort of hacking software to be able to get your account data from your office computer. My guess is that he used a "keylogger" software to secretly store all the typestrokes done on your computer for him to be able to acquire access into your account.

Good luck in your situation.
