help.. i got my 2316 from my previous employee and i think data are incorrect and it affected my current tax with my current employer. is there any legal case in regards with providing a wrong doc and how will i be able get the excess collected tax by my current employer if they said that they already submitted their paper works regarding our annual tax?

You 'think' the data are incorrect? Then you are not even sure if the details in the Form are accurate or not.

Assuming there is mistake, unless you can prove malice, you have no ground to file a suit/case.

Ask HR to explain the details therein to you and if there is mistake, ask another Form with the correct details and verify with BIR on what you can do or file a protest with them.

thanks for the response. i did ask my prev employer and now they provided me another copy of my 2017 2316 and i can clearly see the difference between the two.
