Hi i have a 5 year old son and his father who was my ex bf is living in texas for almost 4 years now. We broke up when my son was one year old, I asked him before when we're still communciating to give support to my child but he refused to do so. Up tp now he didn't make an effort to call and give child support to my son. How can i file a complain against him???

does he ever come to the philippines? would he or his family care if there was a criminal case filed against him here?

i am not familiar with american laws when it comes to deadbeat dads who have children overseas. in australia, the government will collect from the father if there is a court order from the origin country.

yes , he sometimes had his vacation here in the Philippines but never bothered to visit his son in our house. HIs family knows about his son, but just like him they pretended that my son doesn't exit .They don't even visit or call my son to think his family was just here in the PHIlippines. What is the best way that I will do for this matter????

What i would do will be to send demand letter addressed to the father to his last known address. then file a criminal complaint for economic abuse under ra 9262, and also request for a watchlist order. hopefully this will get the family to start giving support.

no, a demand letter just states what is the basis for requesting support (which is the child), and demand that it be provided. we lawyers normally end it with an 'or else' threat.
