Hi. Good day. I am Niel and I had a partner for 7 years and we are planning to purchase a house to settle down. I know and understand that gay marriage is not legal in the Philippines and is far from being legalized. But can we, both of us, apply for a house in lot loan either in a bank or in Pagibig? Meaning both our names appear on the land title as registered. I have read an article that in the US this is possible, but have we adopted the same law or ruling?

it is possible to co-own a house and lot but both of you (joined) cannot file for a loan for the said property.

Hello po,

Pag-IBIG allows for co-borrowers, IF the principal borrower's income does not meet the minimum requirement for the loan.
