Issuance of acknowledgement slip instead of official receipt

Good morning po Atty.

May binili po akong house & lot sa Cebu worth 2.85M.
Nagbayad na po ako ng 150K for partial DP(in cash).
Maliban po dyan, nag-issue rin po ako ng 12 nos. PDCs
sa kanila to complete the 30% of the total contract
price kasi nga po ito ang requirement ng real estate
before magstart ang construction. Ang tanong ko lang
po, bakit "acknowledgement slip" lang ang ibinibigay
nila sa akin everytime ma-clear ang cheque at makuha
nila ang pera sa bank? kahit nga po yung binayad kong
150K cash, "acknowledgement slip" lang din po ang
ibinigay sa nila akin. Should I demand for an
official receipt or the same slip would just
be fine. Atty. pls. advise. Maraming salamat po.

yes, you should ask for an official receipt.
