Tanong ko lang po. Kasi ho yung bayaw ko nakabangga sya ng nka bike wala pa sya license that so nakulong sya isang araw. Pinalabas sya madaling araw na mga 3 kasi napag usapan na babayaran na lang yung check up nung nabangga at plus 18k tapos sila nagbigay ng date kung kelan babayaran. Kaso habang papalapit yung date eh nagdedemand yung nabangga na dagdagan yun bayad at ang pinaka case talaga wala pa kaming pera pambayad. Ang tanong ko po makukulong ba bayaw ko? At kung makukulong sya magbabayad pa din ba kami?

Yes, even if in the event that your brother-in-law will go to jail he will still have to pay actual damages. Might as well try to settle now.
