Hi po Atty. I have a 100k loan from an insurance/loan firm tied up with the gov firm where I was working last 2011 with payment arrangement for 2 yrs via salary deduction. I have paid 5 months then resigned and have moved and currently working abroad. No notice, demand letter, collection of debt, call whatsoever sent to my permanent address and temporary address and to my contact details... I feel the data has been erased... 😂 when will I know I have to settle my loan w/o contacting them? Will this reflect in my NBI if ever I requested a clearance?

if you have been sued with a criminal case then it will appear on your NBI record. usually loan companies will contact you if you miss 2 months. once they do, they usually stop if they don't hear from you then they will only initiate contact with the defaulter again when the loan is sent for collection. at that time interests has already ballooned so be prepared.

Try to make arrangements to pay for your debt.

Thanks for your inputs Attys... I shall update u of progress in case...

I remember last time, Globe loyalty program offered me a Blackberry with a cash out of 10k. As agreed over phone conversation, they will bill me a discounted 10k for BB as part of my plan renewal... No bill arrived and CS was clueless. I have extended using the plan for the next 4 yrs without paying... I guess its forgotten and was considered free of charge as a loyal customer...😂
