Just seeking advice for my situation.
Can we file oral defamation even without other witness? Our case goes this way, I am currently in Manila for a year now. My family is in our province. 2 men around 22-24 years of age mocked my brother an eleven year old young boy, telling him that his big sister(which is me) is not actually in manila but in their house (referring to the men's house). They told my brother they are keeping me in their house, having sex with me everyday and bathing me and all other super green stuffs they were telling my brother they were laughing and my brother started to cry. He went home crying and was asked by my mom what happened and so he confessed. Angered, my mom went to the place where the 2 men were. She talked to them angrily and fingerpointed them asking for their names. My mom got closer to them and tried to slap one of the men but he managed to avoided my mom's hand. Now my mom file a complaint in the brgy. The opposition side said they will also file a complaint against my mom for finger pointing them. They denied my little brother's accusation. some of the brgy. council told my mom not to pursue the complaint any further as we have no any other witness to prove the accusation. My mom called me and tell me all of these. I so feel violated and disrespected that I want to teach those men a lesson. Now I'm asking if we have a strong case given the fact that we dont have any other witness since it was only my brother and those 2 men present when the situation happened.
