hello good day po. tanong ko lang po, ever since, I've been using my father's surname but I'm an illegitimate child, on my birth cert. is my mother's surname but my father signed an affidavit of acknowledgement of paternity. Allowed po ba akong gumamit sa apelyido ng tatay ko kahit hindi iyon ang nakalagay sa birth ko . please po i need help.

Since your father recognized you as his child, you may use his surname.

Is the acknowledgement of paternity in a separate document than the one in your birth certificate?
