gud day atty,

my friend was suspended on her job for 2 weeks without indicating the reason why she was suspended for 2 weeks..upon giving her the memo, she was asked to leave the office immediately with the companion of the security guard aas if she was like a robber..

does she has a strong case against her HR manager and department head who issued the suspension letter to her without any cause?

my friend is working for 10 yrs in the company so i have a strong feeling that my friend will not do anything stupid on her job thats why i want to help her...

If there is no just cause, then she could file a complaint for illegal suspension.

Check the memo first though. This might be preventive suspension in relation to an administrative case.

thanks for the reply...yes my friend said to me it is a preventive suspension...but the incident why she has to be suspended for 2 weeks is not indicated in the memo.
Is it fair?

normally, a notice of preventive suspension will be coupled with a notice to explain.

to contest a preventive suspension, it has to be shown that there was an imminent threat to the persons of other employees and the property of the company.
