Affidavit of Desistance

Hi! Good day. May question lang po ako about sa pagfile ng affidavit of desistance. Yung bfriend ko po yung accused and nakipag areglo na po sila dati sa complainant. Nagbayad na po sila before. But nung nakaraang araw may warrant of arrest na yung bfriend ko. Nag bail na po sila and nakausap na ulit yung complainant and sa Monday mag file sya ng affidavit of desistance. Pwede po ba i-state dun yung settlement nila dati but I'm not sure kung pano sila nagbayaran nun. We are hoping kasi na madismiss na yung case at pati din naman yung complainant gusto nya na din iwithdraw yun. Need po ba ng strong reason ng complainant for the case to be dismissed?
