My Gf works abroad and i am here in Ph, were planning ot get married but the local registrar requires personal appearance?

Hi.

I am seeking an advice, regarding my case, my gf and I are planning to get married, we have already set everything, except for the marriage license.

The Local registrar requires us both to personally appear in their office which makes it impossible cause she will arrived 7 days before marriage and we are short of time if we wait for her to come home and process the papers.

I have read the family code of the Phil, i dont see any provision requiring her to personally appear in the local registrar office, however they insist.

any advice please.

Given the time she arrived we only have 7 days to date of marriage. She not yet a citizen abroad, she still is a filipino.
