Hi i am a part of a family business and the eldest does not want to give a source of income and we have 20 stores. All i want is that i can have a source of living. I just want a 1(one) store so that i can have an income to support for my wife. What can i do? can i bring them to the court?

How did it become a family business?  = Was it your parents/grandparents, who started it and grow, or who have done it?
Are they alive?

/If it's parents/grandparents and they are no longer alive, then it's a "simple" case of inheriting shares. If there are no will, then all you and your sibblings are entitled to get EQUAL shares. (It can become complicated if the value of the shares have changed much by developing work AFTER your parents/grandparents died.)
/If parents/grandparents started it and are still alive, then talk to them.
/If your eldest brother started it and you have worked there without geting salary, then it's much more complicated.
(/If your eldest brother started it and you haven't worked or invested anything, then it's a simple case to  Smile   = You don't have right to anything.)

What REASON does you brother say to not give you one store?
(I don't know enough facts about your situation, but probably are you entitled to get MORE than one store.)

My parents started it. In 2001 my father got a stroke my mother, now 60 yrs old. When we were in highschool, year 2000, my mother handled it to my brother and his wife. And they grew the family business including my mom up until now. Now that all of the siblings are grown up we need income. All I'm just asking is a source of living so that I can support my wife and her needs. My brother and his wife does not want to give me even a single source of income which is just a store so that I can support all our needs. I respect that they grew the business which includes my mom. But they do not give us our parts so that we can also live better. All I'm asking to them is a single store. That is all.

Thank you for your reply.

For better understanding
How many children are there?
Is the business a single proprietorship or a corporation?
Is the father still alive?

There are 5 children but the eldest died. and the second child and his wife run the business together with my mother. The business is single proprietorship in the name of my mom but other businesses is in my brother's bane. My father died in 2012.

All we need is a single source of income to live not so tight in budeget. And they do not give us just a single.

Thank you so much.

Well. That's only part "family business" because only few work there...

Have you inherit from your father?
If not, you are entitled to get around 1/12* of what your father and mother had when your father died.
The GROWING by your BROTHER make it complicated to value. You are NOT entitled to get ANY of HIS work.
IF the business is doubled or more by your brother's and wife's work, then your inherit share from your father is probably LESS than 1 store.

*1/10 if your dead brother didn't have any wife or child.

 ok.
But you DON'T inherit anything from your mother yet, because she is alive,
you only inherit 1/12* of what belonged to your father when he died,

* 1/12 if I think corect (I'm tired being in the niddle of a complicated tax case for a client.)

EDIT: Now I'm some less tired Smile
Your share is around 1/6 - 1/5 of what your father had when he died.
