Hi,

Since the father has acknowledged your child as his, the father has the obligation to provide child support for the living expenses (diapers, milk, vitamins, clothing, etc.), educational expenses, and medical expenses (check up, vaccinations, etc.).

Yes, you can send a demand letter to him. Although your child is illegitimate, the father still has the obligation to provide financial support.

regards,

Atty. Katrina

You try to talk again with your husband regarding the support so as not to create a scandal between you and the family of your husband. And inform him, that by all means, the law compels him to give support. If he is still that stubborn, then give the demand letter for support in person, and remind him that the next letter will be send by the court itself.
