Ano po ba ang punishment if nahuli ka for shoplifting? What exactly will happen kung underaged ang nahuli? What's the worst that can happen? And how will it affect my name in legal terms, in the future (getting NBI clearance, etc.)

I'll be honest: I'm always tempted to shop lift. So I came here to scare myself para matigil. Haha

No thanks at all for being dishonest. I've read up on other posts here with the same question and they didn't say na makukulong. Ang sabi huhulihin ka ng security nila then, ipapabalik yung product and then you might have to pay it double, and that's it. Sana lang naging honest ka, no? This is a forum for people who need advice kasi, so don't give bs advice.

actually, totoo yun. makukulong ka and magbbail. tapos may hearing. depende sa tao yun and sa establishment eh, unfortunately.

I have a personal knowledge of this kind of criminal offense. Nahuli at syempre soli ang nakuha. Tapos i-turn over ng security ang offender sa pulis, and detained. Tapos nun, nagpyansa. Para di matuloy ang kaso, compromise on the condition of admitting the offense and submit a written apology. When the Management of the establishment is satisfied, it will withdraw the case by issuing Affidavit of Disistance to the Fiscal's office. It happened in one SM mall.

Caught shoplifting the other night po, di nila ko pinakulong pero kinuha info ko at picture ko, ipopost ba nila un? Nakakahiya kasi baka makita ng kakilala ko or family, sobrang worried ako, ano pong gagawin ko? Pls help po
