Gusto po namin magpakasal ng pinsan ko balang-araw, first cousin ko siya pero hindi kami kadugo. May proof ako na adopted lang ako. Is it possible? dito sa Pilipinas, Kahit hindi kami kadugo.

I think it is possible because the adopted child cannot be considered a relative of the adopter's relatives because the relationship created is only between the adopter and the adoptee. It is also stated in Art 38 that marriage between collateral blood relatives, whether legitimate or illegitimate, up to the fourth civil degree is prohibited. It is still better to go talk to a lawyer to avoid problems with your marriage. Smile

Possible and doable but be very careful and ready to face the aftermath this may bring to you.

In general, being an adopted child does not signify inexisting blood relations to the adopter. There maybe/are some things that the adopted child may not know yet or disclosed to yet due to reasons, agenda and/or priviledge etc agreed upon between adopter and the bio parent/s. GL
