Wreckless imprudence resulting to serious physical injury

Hi atty. would like to ask for a second opinin regarding our case. The fiscal already gave a resolution which stated my above subject.
Ang nangyari po is during the basketball game, my husband is the respondent and the complainant that time is 17yrs old. The complainant claimed the my husband hit him at the left shoulder that results to should fracture. Which is my husband actually did not intentionally hit him but in the right shoulder. According to their testimony the complainant is a varsity player since elementary and that had previous shoulder injury and in fact gone thru rehab. They actually confronted the whole family regarding this matter and asking for a verbal apology from my husband which he did, even went to their house said it so at tinanggap naman nung complainant. To our surprise the following week they were asking for a financial assistance kc the complainant gone thru surgery, inoobliga nila kami to give the total amount they spent kc kasalanan daw ng asawa ko ung nangyari. They did that three times na pinipilit at to the point na tinatakot pa kami.
So they finally filed a case fiscal at un nga ang result.
Any recommendations kung ano dapat namin gawin. Thanks
