Nag commit po ako ng fraud.

Anong kaso ang pwede ko ikaharap? Civil po ba ito o criminal case?

Thank you for your prompt reply.

They are asking me to pay to settle it outside of court but the fraud I committed is only 1/4 of that. Should I go for the settlement eventhough its too much?

the question here is how can they prove ur guilt?
btw, they can not force you to witness against you...
i think they can not use ur apology letter..
try to settle for less amount.

if ever di makuha sa out of court settlement,
the skill of the lawyer will play the big role here...
maraming ifs and buts ang law,, kaya mga maraming pending cases.. at need pag-aralan ng mabuti.
bottomline, nagkamali ka, at fraud to,,, the gravity of ur action can depend on their claim, and its difficult to rebut.
if the only way to prove ur guilt is the letter,
pwede mo bawiin yon, at invoke na pinilit ka, but then again, this is just an allibi, u know that...
admission of the crime is different than forcibly asking u to witness against urself, so me case cla yo.
