Hello! I'd like to clarify some things about changing Sole Proprietorship to Partnership. I know it's possible but here's the thing: the travel agency started on March this year under a Sole Proprietorship. It has been on operation but isn't registered in BIR yet. All other permits have been settled (business permit, baranggay permit, etc.) The owner wants to change the business from Sole Proprietorship to Partnership since there are three other people who are willing to "join" the travel agency. The problem is, how do they file a change of registration considering that it hasn't been registered in BIR yet? Would there be any conflict with BIR if they bring the matter to Business Bureau? Can you suggest any other option that could make the change of business registration easier and less expensive? The owner wants to hold the operation in the meantime until the change of registration is done and everything has been settled with all concerned government agencies. The owner also wants to retain the same business name--is this possible? Looking forward to a response. Thank you.

I suggest you take this up with the help desk of the BIR (without disclosing).
Based on my experience, BIR is the last step in completing the sequenced cycle because they required compliance first with the LGU requirements before processing your papers.
Opinion lang ito with limited expertise sa field na ito. I may be wrong.
