Hi,

I just resigned with my previous company, but before I resigned I signed papers regarding Intellectual Property(IP) since I acquire all the business knowledge for that Company.

I was planning to established a same company but In that documents I signed, It said that I can't make a company that has the same line of business like them. She also warn me that she will spend all her money to make an action if I did it. Sad

Software Development was the line of business

Am I going to be sued if I make one?

Thank you,
Elieser Legaspi

(You have posted under wrong headline, so better chance to get a good answer under "Business".)

I don't know if the Philippines have any law, which DISQUALIFY the contract if it's unfair bad for the side, which didn't put up the contract.
In "kano" countries it's common
the law don't allow to TAKE business SECRETS no time limit,
BUT it's NOT FAIR to have no limit concerning how long time the employed can't get similar work or start own company. 1 ( to 2) years is normal for high positioned, nothing for others.
