Did your employer and his employer signed the promisory note as witnesses? If so you can use that as an evidence and you may be able to get him for estafa. If you are both Filipino citizen it doesn't matter if this happens abroad.

I am based abroad and when it comes to cases any valid evidence can be dealt with at the Philippines Embassy concerning both Filipino parties. You may claim you're an expert lawyer but all you do is convice people to contact you and make them believe you are always correct and is an expert but the truth is you just want to rip people off! If you come here to play you're the best well! to many lawyers here makes more sense than you! I am not claiming I am a lwayer too, but hey! I happen to know my advice makes more sense than yours, I am well explored in different countries! And I doubt you are!
