Change of Job title without informing or notifying the employee

Arresto Menor

I've been working as a "Technical Support II / Sales" in Convergys for 1 year and 7 months then all of a sudden I noticed that they changed my job title to Sales Associate II without informing me. I'm completely disappointed about this one because I was looking for an experience as a Tech Support and then all of a sudden they will change it without my knowledge and then waste my time because I won't get a certification as a Tech Rep and what I will get is a Sales certification.

Is this action even legal or can we do something about it?
Can we take a legal action about it?
I noticed that this could be legal in the US but is it legal in the Philippines?

braddyboy: Question is, despite the fact ojob title change, are you performing the same task and function after the change and are you receiving the same salary and benefits also after the change?

There is such thing as "management prerogatives".
