I'm Jhun, it happened last month na nag kagipit ako sa pera at naisanla ko ang aking camera worth 10K, the problem was gusto ko sanang tubuan muna 5 days after the due date but the pawnshop is charging me for a 1% penalty charges on the principal which is 10K, so the penalty is 100 pesos daily so bale in 5 days, mag pepenalty ako worth 500. I was trying to pay at humihingi ako ng Official Receipt pero wala pa daw silang Official Receipt at under process pa. My question: is the 1% penalty daily on the principal is legal? Until now, hindi ko muna tinubuan para ma confirm ko kung legal ba ang ginagawa nila. Please advice me po.
