My brother is asking me to email him an authorization letter, stating that I authorize him to claim the burial benefits of my mom from GSIS. He said he needs it in order to get a notarized waiver and that I need to present 2 Identification cards. I only have my green card with my married name, and my Philippine passport bearing my maiden name. Pwede po kaya ang dalawang ID kong ito kahit magkaiba ng pangalan? Meron din naman po akong birth certificate from NSO. Not sure what to do so I hope you can help me. Salamat po in advance!

You can also add your marriage certificate on top of your passport, green card and your birth certificate to show the amendments of your marriage surname to your green card. Plus a valid driving license if any.

Also get an affidavit of amendments and special power of attorney from the Philippine Embassy before sending all the supporting documents to your brother para di ka na pabalik-balik pa!

Thank you po for your quick responses. My family is asking me to just send them the copies thru email. Pwede po ba yun? I mean hindi po ba sila hanapan ng original na kopya ng authorization letter ko? Salamat po in advance sa inyong kasagutan!

Scan mo ang original letter kapag print nila yun ng coloured parang original na rin!
