second marriage validation

hello atty,

I married my wife sometime last year in a civil ceremony. She happens to be married before now we wish to legalize our own marriage by filing for annulment for her first marriage.

I need advise on how we can make our marriage legal, we have a 3 yr old daughter together and she has a 12 yr old daughter with the first husband. When our marriage becomes legal, I plan to adopt the daughter as well.

If the first marriage is annulled, do we need to annull also our civil marriage from last year? or can we go on ahead and get married in a church after the first marriage's annulment?

ang una nyo pong dapat ipa-walang bisa ang ay kasal nyo. otherwise maari siyang makasuhan ng bigamy.

nakausap namin yung first husband, he knows about me and may pamilya na din sya, he is willing to participate sa annulment... as far as I know he is not looking to file for bigamy... will this fact help?

hindi lang naman po ang husband ang pwedeng mag-sampa ng kaso laban sa asawa mo. any person na may enough knowledge can file bigamy case laban sa babae. wag nyo pong i-short cut, first is ipa-annul nyo yung kasal nyo, then yung kasal nila chaka kayo magpa-kasal ulit. magastos nga lang.
