2316 requires cedula?

hi,

our company is just about to release our 2316's this week until next week. they are now requiring us to present a cedula to get the 2316. they said BIR had issued a memorandum to employers regarding this, is this true?

plus, if we don't have our cedula they have a representative from the city where we work with who can issue the required form for a fee of 200 php. is this even legal?

if all this is true, where can we get a copy of the memorandum? why are the tax payer's not properly informed? why do they require cedula's now whereas it was supposed to be handed out to the tax payer w/o any requirements, like before?

The CTC has been a requirement for many years, though not strictly implemented by employers because the employees can just write the information down afterwards.

As in above, the employee's CTC must be indicated, and is normally provided to the employer so they can include it in the form.

However, the CTC cannot be issued for a flat fee of P200 because, among other things, it is based on the employee's income from the previous year, at a cost of P1 for every P1000 income, plus P5 basic.

Get your CTC from the barangay where you live.
