Hi! I would like to clarify an issue regarding the Training Bond.

I was recently hired in a BPO company. On the 3rd week of training, the company told us that we need to sign a training bond/agreement. They did not inform us prior to Job Offer & Contract Signing that there is a bond. Is this legal? And what violation did the company commit,if there's any?

Thank you.

no violation, if you dont agree you are free not to sign.

But isn't that unfair on the part of the employee because everything should be in black & white prior to signing the contract?

kaya nga if you feel that it's not fair then don't sign the bond.

Then what? Lose my job because I didn't sign the bond? I'm sorry but I don't think everyone has the luxury to do that. I posted this query because I think the company has committed a breach and I would like to get legal advise if it's legal to present the bond AFTER the contract signing and the training is already midway.

You can contest it.
