I'm am currently renting a studio type apartment for almost 5 months now, recently i had a security concern with the unit i am renting due the somewhat poor door design and door lock assembly. I just wanna ask if;
1. Can I demand my lessor to correct any problems with regards to the said security concern?
2. Can I, if any Philippine law allows, withhold rental payments up until this security concern is addressed accordingly?
3. If and when a break-in occurs within my unit, can i hold the lessor liable if and when he does not act on my requests for an immediate action to correct this security concern?
