Hello po, ask ko lng po kung pwede ma recognized ang divorce papers ng wife ko sa Pilipinas para magamit nya ang surname ko sa passport nya. We are both Filipino and married here in HK, pero yung prevoius marriage nya sa Pilipinas ay hindi pa na annuled. Since nakakuha sya ng decree of divorce dito sa HK, we got married her in HK but still sabi nila is yung marriage namin is still not recognized sa Pilipinas kasi di pa na-aanulled yung marriage nya sa Pinas. Pleae advise po.... Thanks

jim, if you are both filipinos then that divorce will not be recognized here

Thanks for the reply...yes we are both Filipino, so the best posible solutiion is to file an annulment na lng... Then papakasal ulit kami?

yes, but only if the annulment is granted. you can search the grounds in the forum
