i am about to give birth.. i am single, but the father of my baby is married, separated but not legally. can i name my baby after his father? without any worries that i may be sued by his wife? i just want the baby to be recognized by the father, is it possible? thank you.. please dont be harsh on replies.. i just need advice.. Godbless us all..

whether you name it after him or not, there is no guarantee that the wife will not go after you and her husband.

the father has to be willing to sign the birth certificate.

you can consider him not signing the birth certificate, but he will issue a notarized acknowledgment. the child will not be named after him, but you have proof that he acknowledged the child.
