I have a question For example, you stated an article as your basis:

Every person, in the exercise of his rights and in the performance of his duties, act with justice, give everyone his due and observe honesty and respect and good faith. (Art. 19 NCC)

Is your answer automatically wrong if you misquote what was stated in the article, or it is not stated in verbatim with the provision? Even your reasoning is correct. Please, I need an enlightenment on this one.

No. You do not even need to memorize the provisions (as per one of our reviewers). You can state them in words that substantially convey the principles of the law (or jurisprudence) AND apply the principle to the facts of the case. Make sure NOT to amend/supplement the law though - that is a different story.

But if you are aiming to impress the examiner and top the bar, you can go ahead cite the provision numbers and names of cases. Wink

Thank you for answering. Smile

Suppose you andswered this way:

Under Art. 17 NCC. and so on. You unconsciously changed the word "regulated" to "governed."

Is that considered amending or modifying the law, resulting for your answer to be incorrect?
