Arresto Menor

My friend was absent for a week or so due to sickness but kept on informing her supervisor about it. She was advised to bring a medical certificate once she goes back to work. The moment she reported back, she gave her medical certificate directly to her supervisor. She a then told that there is a possibility for her to be terminated due to zero tolerance but no proof was shown to her to support their claim. She as even asked to make a sale during that shift. She was so worried that she asked her supervisor what could be the best thing to do, whether she will resign or what. Her supervisor told her that the decision is on her. So she decided to just resign that exact moment to do away with issues. She forwarded a resignation via email since there would be no hard copy to be produced by that time. As soon as she have sent it, she logged out and went home half of the shift. The next day, her supervisor claims that the resignation was not valid where in fact when she submitted it he said ok without reading it. The content of the resignation shows also the mistakes and loopholes of the company that my friend didn't like. Her supervisor claims that it is invalid, when she pointed out the validity then her supervisor claims other issue that all of a sudden she was terminated right before she passed the resignation. Without them informing her, they are claiming the termination took place. He can't even give the reason for termination at first then claims that attendance issue, how could that be if there was a valid medical certificate given. Counting on the number of days she was absent that should not even reach 15points. Then when she questioned it, another issue was being raised as a reason, that zero tolerance thing. There was no due process made for the termination that they are claiming. No documents or warnings that were signed. What can we do about it? This is a big loss on her part because just in a snap of a finger she was removed from work.
