Dorm contract signed by a minor; stated there that deposits are non-refundable

Arresto Menor

Hi. Please advise me on the issue I have now. My 16year old kid signed a lease contract for his room for rent which states minimum rental is 6 months and if he decides to not complete this period he cannot refund the 1 month deposit already paid to the lessor. I was not advised on the terms of the contract both by the lessor nor my son and all payments including the 1 month advance and 1 month deposits were documented either via an online bank transfer or over-the-counter bank deposits (though no Official Receipts wre issued). Remaining unpaid obligation are only for the one month utilities. Do I have the right to demand for the deposit?
