legal po ba na ang mortgage property to a daughter-in-law ay patungan ng 17% per annum gayong 2 beses nang nagamit nila pang pyansa ang titulo noon ng walang alam ang mga anak ? patay na po ang aming ama noon nang pumirma kami at ang aming ina sa utang na 165,000. kahit na po walang attached na listahan kung kailan at ano ang naging utang para gawing collateral ang titulo ng aming tinirhan noon.At dahil po in good faith dahil manugang wala kaming bahid ng duda sa mangyayari. 13 years na pong namayapa ang aming ina , nais na po sana naming ipagbili nalang sa kanila ang bahay at lupa, pero ang palaging sagot ay tatawagan lang kami. napag pasyahan nlang namin na bayaran ang utang para ipagbili sa iba. ngunit laking gulat namin dahil umabot na sa 1million ang total na demand nya na aming babayaran. Naaayon po ba ito sa batas natin ? sana po ay mabigyan ninyo ng kasagutan ang problema naming ito.

Isn't any interest paid during many years?
If not paying any interest, then it will be interest on the missed paid interest too (And it's common with some punish fee too, if interest isn't paid as agreed.) Even without any punish fee 165 000 plus interest on not paid interest reach 1 million after around 15 years.
So sad to say 1 million can be corect.

(Interest rates are very high in general in the Philppines. In most "puti countries" it's common with interest rates even as low as 3 % per year, when real estate are security.)
