Highschool rumors

What should i do, i have been having problems about rumors about me that i have a boy friend. i am a boy 4th year high school. my lads asked me if the rumor is true. the rumor spread very fast. i told my lads that its not true. i dont know who started this rumor but i know they have no evidence about the boyfriend thing. i feel bad because its not true and they didnt prove it but they still spread the rumor. can i file a libel case about this? i hope someone can answer this problem I am a bit popular in our school. some believe and some dont. many believe. i feel really really bad about this problem pls help me

Well rumours will stop eventually, just ignore them and don't let them affect you. The more you pay attention to them the more they will get into your nerves, if you have no idea who started the rumours who can you sue?
