Arresto Menor

Good day,

I would just like to check the case of my father:

While driving, he accidentally hit a man texting alongside of the road. He already went under operation and until current, his medication is ongoing and we are answering for all these.

The case is, he is asking for allowance. Is it our obligation to give him allowance?

Also, since we went to the police station for a police report, the moderator made it clear to him that it is optional to us if we'll give further assistance.

The agreement during that that time is: we'll answer for the all medical and hospital needs, and in case we fail to do so, he may file a case against our father.

Since we have that agreement and we are faithfully doing our duty (except for the requested allowance)is there any valid case for this? I mean, can he file a case while his medication is on going and we're answering for all his medical expenses?

We perfectly understand that he needs money, but we can't give him more than what we are providing for all his operations and medicines. Pinag-iipunan pa nag naming yung panggastos sa kanya...
